Charles Emeka Amadi; Nigerian business leader in the marine transportation sector of the oil and gas industry. He is the Chairman/CEO of A.G. Butler Nigeria Limited, an indigenous offshore marine services and construction company. Vibrant and with operational experience dating back to the 1970s, Amadi’s company dealt in costly vessels reaching up to $40 million each and reforms of the banking sector in the late 2000s posed challenges to the accessibility of funds.
Born on the 26 February 1959, Amadi was admitted into the Kentucly Wesleyan University, Owens Borough, Kentucky, United States of America, in 1980, and graduated with double degree honours in Business Administration and Accounting. Being one of the best accounting students of his set, he was recommended for a bank job while still in school. He was also in the football team of his university. He returned to Nigeria in 1987.
