Corona High School was established in 1955 by a group of expatriates in the Corona Women’s Society. In the years after Nigeria’s independence, the school had expanded and six sister schools have been opened. The school operates the British model of education. There are Corona High schools in Ikoyi, Gbagada, Victoria Island, among other places. From the early 1990s, the school had started propagating beyond Lagos. The school’s Trust Council continues to make efforts at maintaining world-standard facilities in all of the Corona schools. The Corona High school in Agbara is rated among the best in Nigeria.
