Elesin Tayo; British-Nigerian TV star who has starred in widely acclaimed television soaps such as Law and Order UK, Holby City [BBC], Doctors [BBC]. Born in 1988, she became at 25 one of the very few black young people making strong incursion into the Hollywood and European TV film scenes. Tayo Elesin have acted professionally since she was 16 years old. Since she read out the soliloquy from Macbeth out loud in year 8 at St Saviours and St Olaves Secondary School in New Kent Road, London she had, according to her, felt free to be someone else.
Tayo Elesin has a degree in Law. As an actress, she took the role of a domestically abused young woman who has a son with her abuser in the Journey of Alfred Small by Michael Archer, a prostitute in Law & Order, a refugee cleaner in Doctors, a bully in Casualty, an unrefined young woman turned politician in Our Husband has Gone Mad Again.
