Dolapo Oni; Also, Marcy Dolapo Oni. Television presenter in Nigeria. In 2015, Dolapo Oni launched her own TV show, The Marcy Project on DSTV’s Africa Magic, a lifestyle and entertainment programme with a mixture of web features, pre-recorded video footages and fashion tips.[i] Dolapo was one of the two finalists in a talent hunt project for co-hosts of Mo Abudu‘s Moment in 2013. She got married to Sijuwade, son of the 15th Traditional ruler of Ife in 2015.
Education
Dolapo Oni had her primary education at the Lebanese Community School in Lagos, and secondary education at Headington Girls Independent School in Oxford in the UK, where she became the first black head girl. She went on to attain a degree in Chemistry from the University of Lagos. She earned a postgraduate degree from the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London, proceeding from that point to become a presenter and actress.

Dolapo Oni started a TV career as the anchor on the MNET show, E53 has a pretty countenance and a robust personality as part of the endowments obviously going for her. She became a co-host in the Moments with Mo magazine programme of the Ebony TV in 2013. Oni played key roles in William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Walking Waterfall by Ayikwei Parkes; In Time by Bola Agbaje and God is a DJ by Oladipo Agboluaje. She was also a cast of the South African TV Series, Jacob’s Cross, where she played ‘Moremi Omotoso’ – a woman who is passionate, liberated, strong and fights for what she believes in. Oni has been praised for her quality elocution and spontaneity[ii].
