Kemi Adetiba is a film maker and television personality. She is also the host of MNet’s Studio 53, and Temptation Nigeria, Soundcity’s many shows, and for three years; the nationally syndicated reality show, Maltina Dance All. Kemi Adetiba was born 8 January 1980 in Lagos to Dele Atiba who was a veteran in the advertising and broadcast industries and who had Kemi introduced, when a child, to the media industry. Kemi was star of two national television commercials for the popular Omo detergent brand. She studied Law.
Overtime, Kemi switched from her radio presenting job to focus on the television reputation she had begun to gather. In 2007 she enrolled at the New York Academy. Adetiba has had her ‘Across a Bloodied Ocean’ screened at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles and the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. As a music video director, she has earned awards with the cinematographic video of song by TY Bello, “Ekundayo”. Also, Today Na Today by Omawunmi, and Banky W’s Lagos Party.
